Today we know that food is the strongest hormonal medicine that can be taken orally and that the hormone insulin is responsible for the epidemic of obesity, diabetes, and allergies. We also know that it is not enough to just count calories, it is more important where the calories come from. With a diet in which calories from carbohydrates, proteins and fats are represented in each meal in a ratio of 40%:30%:30%, we regulate insulin, keep blood sugar stable and open access to energy stores in fat cells. This is the only way to lose excess fat permanently.
