Plutarch: Ancient Sayings of the Kings and Generals of the Laconians and Laconians
One of the most famous preserved collections of sayings in Plutarch's corpus is "Proverbs of Kings and Generals" whose authenticity has been the subject of many debates. Today, the conclusion is imposed that "Proverbs..." is not the work of Plutarch himself, but the collected material that he used for his larger works. The second part of the book consists of "Proverbs of the Laconians and Laconic Women" and "Laconic Institutions", which are mainly his work. In this edition, there is a Greek text and a Croatian translation by Zdeslav Dukat.
