And indeed, it is about the history of the first colonizations, ancient ships and the birth of ports, great myths, from the Bible to Homer, about the origin of civilizations - Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans - and everything that surrounded them. A story about trade routes, about amphorae and corals, about pilgrimage routes, about Vikings in America and about the Chinese in the Indian Ocean.
This is also a story about famous things: compasses, caravels, Christopher Columbus, Magellan, Amerigo Vespucci and Caribbean pirates. But also about whales and sharks, hidden gentles, legends about the Kraken, Malstrum and the Flying Dutchman - about everything that has fed human imagination for centuries. It takes us to the present day, to the ecological crisis and the melting of glaciers. Because talking about the sea means talking about our deepest dreams, but also reminding us that, after all, we are just one species among many other species. We are part of the sea - and that is perhaps the most important message of this millennial adventure.
