Croatian-German journalist Hans Peter Rullmann published the magazine Hrvatska Domovina, which was distributed in the Croatian diaspora around the world. When he arrived in Zagreb in 1989, during the transition from the communist to the democratic system, he was expelled from Croatia on the basis of a Yugoslav arrest warrant.
