Summary

Ivan Šimek: The Forgotten Truth

Dr. Ivan Šimek's book "The Forgotten Truth about the Creation of the Croatian State and the Beginnings of Diplomacy" talks about an extremely important and hitherto insufficiently treated topic from the time of the first beginnings of the creation of a sovereign and independent state of Croatia and the first beginnings of its diplomacy. The numerous and hitherto insufficiently known documents and testimonies contained in this book credibly and directly depict unknown Croatian realities from the first years of the struggle for independence. It is a personal testimony to readers who want to get to know better and more closely the time of the struggle for Croatia's greatest political goals, for the creation of a state and its diplomacy.
The importance of this book lies in the direct or indirect presentation of a number of previous ideas, which for some reason were presented to the public non-objectively, all with the aim of shedding light on the temporal and social environment and events that produced the disappearance and emergence of some political entities on the land of the former state and, most importantly in this context, the creation of independent Croatia.

From the foreword by Dr. Franjo Gregurić,
President of the Government of Democratic Unity of the Republic of Croatia from 1991 to 1992

The book has a dedication.
