Iva, do Mjeseca i natrag

Simić Roman

Summary

Roman Simić: Iva, do Mjece i natrag

The first novel of the award-winning Croatian writer, in which everything is full of action, but at the same time it is gentle, witty, funny and full of emotions.

It all begins when the father of three teenagers – Iva (14), Marula (16) and Tina (12) receives a mysterious figurine and an invitation to Lika to read the will of a relative he has never seen. Their adventure and search for buried treasure from Zagreb, through Zadar, Karlobag, Otočac and all the way to the Moon and back will be joined by the cousin's grandson from the will and his daughter with wonderful green eyes and an exceptional gentleman Švabo with his good-natured son. While they slowly get to know each other and little by little reveal other people's secrets, a couple of dangerous suspects follow them from the edge, and their background support consists of an unusual grandmother, test-tube triplets, an allergic policeman and a caring mother.

Following Ivo in the uncertain adventure of growing up, the award-winning author Roman Simić wrote a fun and touching book bursting with action and emotion, humor and excitement. More than anything, however, Iva, to the Moon and Back is a modern family novel that talks about the world and thoughts of young people in their language, but which will also be read with great pleasure by their elders.

From her exciting journey, Iva brought us an extremely rare treasure: a book that connects and brings us together.
