The book before the reader presents a selection of scientific works that, in the author's opinion, deserve to be included in this unified publication, conceptually and qualitatively. In a selection of over fifty scientific papers, as many as he has published in his teaching and scientific career of more than fifteen years, the author chose fifteen papers whose content will be presented in this book. Out of the total number, fourteen papers have already been published in scientific journals, while one paper ("Accountability as a criminal-legal term") is completely new and is being published here for the first time. The papers are published in their original form, without any changes and additions in relation to their original versions, with the exception of one paper ("On the origin of security measures as criminal sanctions"), which is published here in an expanded edition. It should also be said that some of these works were published by the author when he was an assistant at his faculty, some when he was an assistant professor, and one during the time period when he was an associate professor.
