Spisi o grčkoj književnosti i filozofiji

Nietzsche Friedrich

Summary

Friedrich Nietzsche: Writings on Greek Literature and Philosophy

In the preface to this edition, Miloš N. Đurić writes about Nietzsche and his thoughts on Greek culture, but also about his views on other existing cultures, especially ancient ones. Nietzsche puts the problem of culture first - the central problem of his philosophy is culture: "Culture is, above all, the unity of artistic style in all life manifestations of a people". The "real" concept of culture is Hellenic culture, that is, Greek culture, because it represents the harmony between life, thought and will. For Nietzsche, Hellenic culture is also "an inexhaustible mine of timeless life values". Aeschylus, Sophocles, Homer - these are just some of the great men that Nietzsche talks about in this book. For students, this analysis of Nietzsche would be useful because it also contains descriptions of Greek drama in general, especially tragedy, but also the philosophy of the ancient era.
