Summary
Horst Burkle: Man seeks God - a religious approach
Religions and cultures of nations have become a special topic of theology today. In view of the growing experience of the unity of humanity, the Second Vatican Council dedicated a scheme (Nostra aetate) in determining the relationship of the Church to non-Christian religions. This book places this topic in a biblical context and shows it as a specific questioning in the history of theology. The great non-Christian religions - Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Islam, natural religions - are presented in this respect in their essential manifestations.
