The author of this work, Father Ivan Antunović, brings us an account of marriage in the history of God's people, beginning with the Old Testament, through the New Testament, and then through the history of the Church.
These three chapters provide a systematic historical overview of the understanding and evaluation of the marriage union from various perspectives: biblical, sacramental, moral, legal.
