Svetozar Petrović: On Indian Literature

Svetozar Petrović made an immeasurable contribution to the study of world literature, especially the literature of Asia. Some of the texts, published in the book About Indian Literature, were published in various renowned magazines in the former Yugoslavia, such as Republika, Telegram, Encyclopedia moderne, as well as in the magazine Naše teme, and some were written as lectures. The second part has been preserved in the author's legacy and is being published for the first time. The intellectual and academic public has long recognized the significance of Petrović's studies and texts, as well as the breadth and supremacy of his insights, which were certainly the result of his exceptional erudition.
