Summary
Dušan Radunović: Early Bakhtin
The book, divided into six chapters, deals with the study of the writings of the theorist of literature and culture Mihail Bakhtin, written between 1919 and 1929 - from the programmatic text "Art and Responsibility" to the well-known monograph of Dostoevsky's works.
The author's interest in Bakhtin and his thought is older than Radunović's British university career. It traces its roots from the early, student, Belgrade phase of his intellectual development. The great Russian m
researcher is obviously a constant subject of his profession and occupies at least the first place among equals in relation to prominent representatives of other fields in which Radunović works, such as sociology and philosophy of knowledge, or the history and theories of Eastern European film. Therefore, it should not be surprising that, although relatively young, Dušan Radunović is one of the most relevant, if not the most relevant, Bakhtinologist from our area, as well as the fact that in this book, although there is only one period of Bakhtin's development and only one part of Bakhtin's sumptuous work - the reader has the opportunity to see the continuity of thought of one of the most inspiring literary scholars in thousands of years of history.
