Summary
Georges Gurdjieff: All and all or Beelzebub's conversations with his grandson
From the author:
I came to the conclusion that contemporaries can benefit from my research if they experience new impressions while reading and if they read following the folk wisdom that I recently remembered: "Each prayer can be answered by the Higher Powers only if it is said three times: the first time - for the happiness and peace of mind of the parents; the second time - for neighbors; and only the third time - for their own happiness." I consider it necessary to give the following advice on the first page of this book, which is already ready for publication: "Read each of my books three times: First, in a nutshell, the way you read all the books and newspapers of your time; Then - aloud, as you would read to another person; And only the third time try to penetrate the essence of my writing." Only then will you be able to count on the formation of your own, unique, unbiased opinion about my writing. And only then will it be possible to realize my hope that, having understood everything, you will be able to extract for yourself that special benefit in which I trust with all my being.
