Summary
Matthew Quirk: 500
After graduating from Harvard Law School, Mike Ford landed his dream job at the Davies Group, Washington's most powerful consulting firm. And now they have a gun pointed at his head and are being pursued by two of the most dangerous men in the world. To get out of it, he does everything he thought he wouldn't do again: lie, cheat, steal, and this time maybe even kill.
Mike grew up in a world of small tricks and lessons from his own father. The hard-earned success in his law studies should have enabled him to leave that world. As a young rising star at the Davies Group, he finds himself face to face with an elite group of 500 men and women who actually run Washington - and the world. But, as he soon learns, influence peddling is a familiar business: even with pedigree, a scam is a scam.
Combining elements of political intrigue and thrilling action, 500 is an explosive novel about an individual who stood up to the powerful establishment. In Mike Ford, readers will discover a new hero who learns that who flies high, falls low – and deadly.
