Summary
Rachel Hawkins: The Demonic Glass
Sophie Mercer thought she was a witch.
For this reason, her parents sent her to Hekate's school, a reformatory for raising problematic prodigies (or witches, metamorphs, and fairies). But that was before she discovered a family secret, as well as the fact that Archer Cross, the boy she is totally smitten with, is an agent of the Eye, an organization whose only goal is to wipe out prodigies from the face of the earth.
It turns out that Sophie is a demon, one of only two in the whole world - the other being her father. To make matters worse, he possesses powers that threaten the lives of everyone he loves. It was because of this that she decided to go to London and undergo a rite of removal, a risky procedure that would either destroy her powers forever – or kill her.
But when she arrives in England, Sophie encounters new shocking facts: her new roommates are also demons. Which means that someone has summoned them in secret, with a sinister plan to use their powers – almost certainly not for good. Meanwhile, the Eye agents do everything in their power to hunt down Sophie, and they use Archer to do it. But she doesn't feel anything for him anyway... Right?
