Summary
Mirjana Đurđević: Dve Mice and New Belgrade
Mica Đurđević, a controversial pre-war Belgrade writer and swordsman teacher, on the threshold of serious old age, finally gets a best friend - who is also called Mica and is twelve years old!
In the beginning, their socializing mostly revolves around books, because the girl reads tirelessly, writes happily and easily. She will agree to write a novel with the editorial help of Mica, who is much more experienced, who advises her to put on paper everything that comes to her mind, and the events will happen by themselves.
And indeed, with the arrival of the particularly turbulent year 1968, numerous turmoils, protests and riots began to happen, both in Belarus and at home. They attract the absolute attention of both Mica: the older one, who is already tired of the history she has lived through, but also the extremely restless and curious child who secretly reads Politics at school, watches the Diary and tries to understand the society in which she lives.
