Summary
Kalimah: Hymns, Epigrams, Fragments
Neither the corypha of Hellenistic poetry, Kalimah, nor many other prominent creators of the same period, fate was more favorable neither in terms of many biographical data, nor in terms of the preservation of their works. On the contrary, despite all the efforts of many scientists around the world and in recent times, much remains questionable and insufficiently known, and the best support can only be found in the fragmentarily preserved works of our own. As for the birth of Callimachus, we can only conclude that he was born somewhere around 315, 310 BC. But we know for sure that he was a native of the once flourishing city of Cyrene on the east coast of present-day Libya. The book contains Callimachus' texts in a bilingual edition - ancient Greek and Croatian.
