Summary
Theocritus and Pseudo Theocritus: Idylls - epigrams
Works of the Greek poet who worked in the most fruitful period of Hellenism, in the first half of the 4th century BC, and who, together with Callimachus and Apollonius, is considered the most respected creator of that period. About thirty of his poems, idylls, and some epigrams have been preserved (due to doubts about authenticity, the exact number is questionable). Authentic and non-authentic poems and epigrams of Theocritus are published in this edition, the translation (and foreword) of which is signed by Branimir Glavičić. This is the first translation of the entire polymetric Theocritus into Croatian.
