Bihaly also did photomontages in the magazine Nova Literatura, and in 1928 he founded the magazine Nova literatura and the publishing house Nolit with his brother Oto Merin Bihaly. They published books by Jack London, Maxim Gorky, Remarque, Heinrich Mann, Sinclair Lewis, John Steinbeck, Isak Babel... titles that the censorship of the time often considered provocatively left-wing and often banned.
