Glaciologist Felicity Lloyd was given the opportunity to travel from Cambridge to South Georgia, one of the most remote islands in the world, to work on a project for the British Antarctic Expedition. Objeručke accepts a job on that isolated island to escape her past and the man she once loved. Freddie Lloyd has served time for murder - and now he wants Felicity back. Wherever she is, he won't stop until he finds her, so he boards the last boat of the summer bound for South Georgia. During this time, the psychiatrist whom Felicity visited in Cambridge due to unexplained injuries and occasional amnesia, investigates the background of Felicity and Freddie's relationship, and discovers that their past is more tragic than Felicity herself is aware of. He is convinced that the only way to help her is to go to South Georgia himself and get there before Freddie. They will find themselves trapped together in an icy expanse. Who will survive?
