The action of the collection of short stories takes place in Eastern Bosnia, in a time span of about 600 years, from Queen Jelena Gruba to the tragic events of the recent past. These stories present us with life, difficult, tough, unpredictable and, in times of suffering, cruel. Returning to the short introduction from the beginning of the story, and at the end of each story, the author closed each of them in a circle so that the reader would have the idea that the stories, circles, are gently rolling towards him. Human dimensions in conflict with recurrences of the past sometimes find answers in the surreal, but even then the narrator's personality is looking for those sources from which to drink the Goodness that the writer inspired to pass on to us. The writer's heroes speak of timeless categories of man's relationship to existence, marked by tradition.
