Summary
Homer: The Odyssey
The Odyssey is a classic verse epic, and along with the Iliad, the oldest preserved work of Greek and European literature. The basis of the work is the return home to the native Ithaca of the Greek hero Odysseus from the Trojan War, and his punishment is a ten-year wandering on the seas because he came up with the deception that destroyed Troy, but also because he blinded Poseidon's son Polyphemus.
