Summary
Maja Gluščević: Growing up
Maja Gluščević was born in Zagreb in 1939. Although she studied English and German, she started working on film as an assistant director. Based on the script she wrote with her husband Obrad Gluščević for the television series Jelenko, she wrote The Story of Jelenko in the early 1980s. A year after The Tale of Jelenko, Maja's second novel, The Lone Wolf, also based on the successful film of the same name, appeared on the market. The stories created in Maja Gluščević's workshop are top-quality children's literature with a unique theme that Maja skillfully weaves through her books. In Maya's stories, the animals do not speak, but they are reasonable and sensitive beings - which, after all, they are. And their little protective friends, girls and boys, are brave little people who treat their four-legged friends with caring love, going through many adventures with them, which can entertain both parents and children.
Maja Gluščević is the winner of the Grigor Vitez award.
