Andrija Palmović was a Croatian priest and poet whom Branko Vodnik called the greatest lyrical poet of that time. He wrote about fifty songs. He also wrote ballads and romances that were published in several magazines. He is part of the generation of poets who established themselves in "Vienna" in the 1870s under Šeno's patronage, but due to his premature death, he was unable to profile and assert himself to the end.
