Summary

Tomislav Ladan: Collected Works I-VII

Ladan's work is a mirror of an extraordinary spirit who has entrusted Croatian literature and culture with many very important books (about ten books of original texts and about forty books of various translations and songs) and thus fertilized its centuries-long spiritual trail. Grown on great culture and erudition, encyclopedic erudite and literary coordinates, it represents its author as one of the most important intellectuals and contemporaries of our time. The project Collected Works of Ladan is conceived as a series in seven rounds. Since in Ladan's entire oeuvre original compositions are mixed and interwoven with translations and cover songs, each round will contain just such diverse components. First round: 1. T. LADAN: ZOON GRAPHICON (essays and reviews, 1962) -   2. ARISTOTLE: METAPHYSICS (translation from the original with a seven-language interpreter of basic terms, 1985) -   3. OVID: LOVE, THE ART OF LOVE, THE MEDICINE OF LOVE (translation/re-song from Latin, 1973) - 4. THE SAGA (Song) OF THE NIBELUNZ (translation/re-sing from German, 1974) 5. WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE: TITUS ANDRONICUS (translation/re-sing from English, 1977) -  6. INGMAR BERGMAN: FILM TRILOGY (translation from Swedish, 1966) - 7. TERRY CARR: SELECTED SCIENCE-FANTASTIC STORIES (translation from American, 1980) -
