A novel based on the film The Harvest Johann Wagner is rich, powerful and convinced that money can buy everything. Everything but his time running out. When he learns that he has only a few months left to live, he is ready to do anything to survive. One encounter, however, changes his decision and sets in motion a chain of events that lead him down an unpredictable path. On the way he is kidnapped, ends up in the hands of organ dealers and, against his will, gets a new heart. But with a new life comes completely unexpected dreams about an unknown village and voices that call it by another name. The feeling that he is carrying someone else's destiny will force him to go in search of the truth and lead him to Kosovo and to a country he knows nothing about. Srpsko srce Johanovo is a novel about guilt and redemption, about the suffering of the Serbs in the Yellow House and about the question that never ceases to resonate: can we really live our own life if we carry someone else's inside us?
