Summary
Damir Jelenski: The Cruel Reincarnation of Sparta
The action of the dystopian novel The Cruel Reincarnation of Sparta follows the life story of the Nord family in the conditions of a developed democracy based on high moral values. Although the conditions of life and activity are dramatically different from today's conditions, which are largely related to capital and money, family and friendship relationships are similar to relationships from the beginning of human development. The parental feeling of protecting offspring is written in our genetic structure as a factor that decides how a parent will react in a critical situation, and how a childless person will react.
Although the dystopian society of the fictitious desert city of Qatar Sahara functions without money, it is not devoid of driving motivation in the form of advancement on the social hierarchical scale, which can bring general good, but also personal harm. The cruel reincarnation of Sparta connects ancient, present-day and futuristic ideas about the moral functioning of society for the well-being of all members of the community - material or psychological.
The novel searches for an answer to the question: can people create a happy society for all members of the community? Go on a quest with the main character Robert!
