Summary
Emmanuel Levinas: Among us: thinking-of-the-other: essays
The studies collected in this book are listed in the chronological order in which they were published in various philosophical publications. The study entitled "Is ontology fundamental?" which dates back to 1951, indicates the general problem of the studies that came after it. Here, the rationality of the human psyche is explored in the intersubjective relationship, in the relationship of one man to another, in the transcendence of that "for the other" that establishes the ethical subject, that establishes the between-us.
