Fr. Berislav Gavranović (Šurkovac near Prijedor, 1900 – Petrićevac near Banja Luka, 1980), Bosnian Franciscan, historian. After completing his history studies at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Belgrade, he taught general and national history at the Franciscan Classical High School in Visoko. He received his doctorate in Belgrade on the topic: "Establishment of the regular Catholic hierarchy in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1881", which was published in Belgrade in 1935. In addition to his doctoral dissertation, in addition to a large number of articles he published in Franjevacki vijesnik and in the magazine Dobri Pastir in Sarajevo, he also wrote and published the books: Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1853-1870. godine, Sarajevo, Scientific Society of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1956; Bosnia and Herzegovina during the Austro-Hungarian occupation in 1878, Sarajevo, Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1973; The arrival of the Trappists in Delibašino Selo near Banja Luka and their activities, Banja Luka, 1964; History of the Petrićevac Franciscan Monastery and Franciscan Parishes in the Bosnian Krajina, Sarajevo, 1959. In addition to the study Hungarian Efforts to Hungarianize the Bosnian Franciscan Pomlatk, he left an extensive monograph on the Kraljeva Sutjeska Monastery and the monastery area.
