Fascinated and carried away by the study of Glagolitic paleography, Branko Fučić walked and traveled Istria along and across, discovering some of the most important Croatian Glagolitic monuments, describing with great passion the historical, artistic, literary, ethnological and ethnographic heritage of Istria, learning and using many crafts so that the subject of his scientific interest was truly explored, both theoretically and practically. At the same time, Fučić showed a rarely seen talent to write scientific texts simply, vividly and plastically, almost in a literary way, not depriving them of even dialectal expression, deeply feeling and understanding the plebeian aspect of the Istrian cultural heritage.
