Summary
Petar Žarković: Marko Nikezić diplomat at the center of the Cold War
Marko Nikezić was a "full-blooded politician", a revolutionary, a person who was interested in art, read about the past, spoke languages and was a man of the world in the country's diplomatic service that had a global reach. In such a context, in a time that compared to the decades in which we live today, was far more political and, regardless of the one-party system, more dynamic, Nikezić is an indispensable actor, creator, analyst and practitioner. Petar Žarković used enormous archival materials, mainly from DSIP/SSIP and other Belgrade archives, and thus showed in one place the importance of the diplomatic and political activity of Marko Nikezić, the country he represented, but also the overall, global dimension, politics he represented or led.
