Summary

Paul-Laurent Assoun: Lacan

"The psychoanalyst is not an explorer of an unknown continent, nor of great depths; he is a linguist. He learns how to decipher the letter before his eyes, which is present for everyone's view; however, that letter cannot be deciphered if we lack its laws, its key."

Jacques Lacan

Paul-Laurent Assoun in the book dedicated to Lacan gives an exhaustive but also an accessible introduction to the thought and conceptual labyrinths of an extremely exciting and influential thinker of the second half of the 20th century. The book "Lacan" was originally published in the famous French edition Que sais-je? (What do I know?) of the Presses Universitaires de France publishing house. For the translation into Serbian, translator Radoman Kordić received the "Branko Jelić" award in the Mature Contributions category, for the best translation from French, awarded by the French Institute in Belgrade, UKPS and IKZS.
