As far as I know, this is the first time that the ancient and medieval religion of the Turkic and Mongolian peoples, which I have chosen as the main subject of my research, has been presented in the form of a monograph. The bibliography should not mislead us in this, because if it sometimes seems to say the opposite, except for a few short articles, it refers exclusively to modern forms of belief and rituals of the people we call Altaic; and these contemporary plays, as we will have the opportunity to see countless times, are very far from those from the ancient and middle ages, and even from the plays from the beginning of the modern era, of course if we mean by these time points what they mean in European history.
