Stojnić Aneta

Summary

Aneta Stojnić: Theory of performance in digital art

The book explores digital art and digital performances at intersections, transitions and transgressions between art, culture and life. The central questions it raises concern the politicization of performance in cyberspace, which includes all forms of performance of everyday culture or, in the broadest biopolitical sense, the performance of all forms of life. Through a critical analysis of cyber space as a new space for political production, Aneta Stojnić considers the potential of digital performances as a new political performance, the author tries to develop performance practices that use technology (video, Internet, multimedia, computer technologies) according to cultural, social and political practices, which are able to intervene in a wider non-artistic context, while the focus of her interest is based on the discourse of performance studies and biopolitical theory, and includes processes, procedures and ways in which art, culture, society and politics.

Aneta Stojnić

Theatrical director, art and media theorist. Parallel to her work in the field of theory, she is actively involved in contemporary performance practices, as well as curatorial work.
