3E: Estetika, Epistemologija, Etika spekulativnih i de re medija

Šuvaković Miško

Summary

Miško Šuvaković: 3E: Aesthetics, Epistemology, Ethics of speculative and de re media

The book 3E identifies the antagonisms of aesthetics, epistemology and ethics in the field of experimental and research media and artistic practices. Gray zones are mapped in which the public sphere simultaneously emerges and disappears between the screen specters of beings and non-beings. Without prejudice, the author moves diagrammatically between Spinoza's Ethics and Nam June Paik's electronic installations, between digital and ecological influences, between the necropolitics of viruses and the biopolitics of contemporary autocratic regimes, between the transparency and opacity of language productions and exchanges.

Media De Re, unlike speculative media, confronts us with real antagonisms in the fields of biology, ecology, class, economy, political struggles and, of course, contemporary art.

The book was created during the global corona virus pandemic as an analytical, almost confessional, theorization. It is about writing until the last breath.

Miško Šuvaković:

One of the most respected art and media theorists in the region. He is known for his transdisciplinary approach to the humanities and numerous researches in the field of art politics and applied aesthetics. He wrote and edited 50 books that were published in Serbian, Croatian, Slovenian and English.
