Sokrat - melodija filozofije

Arsović Zoran

Summary

Zoran Arsović: Socrates - the melody of philosophy

The Banja Luka philosopher Zoran Arsović never lacked courage or audacity, but the maturity of his philosophizing, that philosophical something, clearly sizzled and smelled strongly in his book "Socrates: the melody of philosophy". it is one of the few on the domestic scene that did not stem from a doctoral or master's thesis, and the first (and only?) about a famous Athenian famous for several of his skills, especially for the fact that he could bank for days and nights and, despite this, remain fresh and plowed for intellectual and sexual persecutions, as well as for the fact that he corrupted the youth of Athens for which, in his old days, he lost his head. In fact, Socrates was best known for his midwifery skills in giving birth to concepts. The canonical interpretation says that philosophy arises precisely at the moment when thought, therefore concept, therefore logic, are separated from the graphic explanations of life and the world, from the story (myth also means "story"), just as a child is separated from the mother's body. Separation, on the other hand, is necessary in order to understand the logical structure of the cosmos, independent of arbitrary representations and myth-making "inventions". At the beginning of that saga, therefore, is Socrates. This is precisely why he is considered either a great founder or, as Nietzsche thought, a great destroyer of what is vital in thought. Arsović, bold as he is, opposes both of these traditions. Although he is closer to the interpretation of the key role of Socrates in the history of philosophy, he rejects the established reading which says that philosophy has forever crossed paths with myth, just as, even more strongly, he rejects the (Nietzschean) interpretation according to which Socrates is a genius pest.
