Summary
Vjeran Zuppa: Theater as a school: an essay on the subject
We can solve a lot of things with a joke. We get rid of so many things with a joke.
The fact that we get rid of a joke and that we solve a lot of things with it does not reveal the principles of its action in the least. He hardly even sets them. The problem of her acting was posed in two ways. On the one hand: if we solve so many things with a joke, then we must be able to do it with the language of its "simple form" (A. Jolles). Namely, he is such that he simply "solves things" and "removes traps". Interesting already in its "simple form", the joke has become the subject of very complex morphological research. On the other side: if we free ourselves, if we get rid of so many complex, so many "painful" things with wit, then we succeed with its content that weakens the tendencies of "repression" and "censorship" in us (S.Freud). On this basis, the joke became a topic of psychoanalytic interest. Thus, the joke and its question were posed as an expression of the activity of certain psychic energies, a certain economy of intellectual and affective forces, or as some other, "aggregate state" of language.
