Franz Kafka is one of the few writers whose work left a mark on modern storytelling. Books, Kafka wrote to a friend in early 1904, are not meant to make us happy. People need books that feel like a punch to the head; "the book must be an ax for the frozen sea in us". Kafka's work is not easy to navigate. Through these enigmatic texts, we are not guided by sure signposts or exhaustive studies by excellent connoisseurs. One of them, Heinz Politzer, wrote that after forty years of dealing with Kafka, he believes that his parables are essentially inaccessible to interpretation. In order to experience the *Process* as it really is and as it was, we must go back to the original manuscripts and remove all subsequent interventions that did not come from the writer's hand.
