Summary
Petar Kočić: The Badger in Court and Selected Stories
Petar Kočić, a Bosnian storyteller from the time of Austria in Bosnia, appeared at first with more patriotism than literature; and with more intention than inspiration. Just the name Kočić sheds even today, and will continue to shed for a long time, a whole stream of light on the great period of our Serbian pain and pride. His very sonorous name seems like the first word of some heroic oath and some pious vow. - He died young, but still, and better than anyone, he managed to discover a country with a new Serbian soul, dissatisfied, bitter, seething and vindictive, which is so attached to the Kosovo ideal and abundant justice.
