Summary
Julio Cortazar: Winners
This novel, published in 1960, before Školica, is proof of the great talent of Julio Cortazar. It was his second novel, but the first was published.
The winners of the prizes know only that they won a trip in the lottery, but they do not know where or on which ship they will travel. They meet in the "London" bar, on the corner of Avenida de Majo and Peru Street, the place where the writer wrote most of the pages of this book and which, fortunately, still exists. When all the award winners have finally met in the aforementioned bar, the organizers lower the blinds and inform people that they will be sailing from the port of Buenos Aires, but leave out many other details.
