The great and dangerous journey of the Argonauts to Colchis in search of the golden fleece is riddled with dangers and thus temptations in the search for a way out and salvation, often reflecting on events and phenomena, in a mythical way, recording knowledge from cosmic considerations to earthly activities and skills. They are powerful descriptions of nature, unusual events, customs, rituals, especially love, with inevitable humor. With a learned style, the writer reached perfection, since he nurtured longer literary forms, especially essays.
