Summary
Predrag Finci: Emigrant picture book
Emigrant picture book is a new, twenty-sixth book by the philosopher and writer Predrag Finci. The book was published this month by Factum publishing house (Belgrade) and Jesenski i Turk (Zagreb). Emigrant picture book is a series of prose descriptions, short essays and poetic records. They are about the author's childhood and growing up, love and friendship, happiness and pain, hometown and departure, homeland and new home, peace and war, memory and oblivion. It is about many beautiful, but also dramatic events. About human destiny. Predrag Finci writes about his experience as an emigrant, which is the experience of many today. This book is the story of a life journey, which begins with the author's memory of the square next to which he grew up, and ends with the story of the bridge over which he crossed many times and went abroad once and for all. This book is a series of records about critical personal events, which is why Finci writes: "My life employed me as a scribe". The emigrant picture book is a story about one life and the search for its meaning.
The author's "final word" about his experience of emigration and being abroad.
