Summary
Stephen King: Mobile Phone
Civilization is engulfed in the darkness of the second Middle Ages and it is drowning in blood, which does not surprise anyone, but it happens at a speed that was not predicted even by the most pessimistic futurists. On Halloween, from all the world's metropolises, from New York to Moscow, the stench rose to the desolate sky, and the world as it once was was only a memory. Mobile phones are bringing the apocalypse to millions of people, who have no idea what danger is lurking, erasing the last trace of humanity from their minds, leaving behind only aggressive and destructive impulses. Those who do not have mobile phones, must fight for survival to survive a cataclysm of world scale.
King's triumphant return to the genre with which he gained fame. As an homage to zombie movies, The Cell Phone is the bloodiest, creepiest, and most suspenseful novel King has written in recent memory.
