Born in Moscow, in a family of Russian, Armenian and Polish origin. Expelled from the military school in 1956, expelled from the Pedagogical Academy in 1958, worked in Čukotka and Kolyma in manual jobs. Since 1965, he devoted himself to writing. He creates in the spirit of the Russian avant-garde and the literature of the absurd, under the influence of Khlebnikov, Harms and Vedensky, with clever excursions and an experimental genre combination of poetry, prose and drama.
