Summary
Zlatko Fijucek: Odyssey of the Twentieth Century
"Odyssey of the Twentieth Century" is the story of a man who was falsely accused in the mid-eighties. In order not to end up in prison, he fled, leaving his wife and two children in Zagreb. He travels through South America, where we learn that this is not his first escape, as he left home as a minor. He crossed to East Africa by ship, then continued through India and Nepal. He returns to Croatia before the Homeland War. The novel ends when the first half of the war ends, at the beginning of the nineties. The journeys and areas in the book are true, sometimes even the weather. The story is fiction, but it is not far from the life of the author
