Summary
Maria Ksiluri: This is how the world ends
Orestis, Fani, Dimitris, Akos, Fotis and Ana are fragile, insecure and anxious young people, psychologically torn between the mentality of the island they come from and the anomic urbanity of the metropolis, thrown into the middle of a world where there is no security, and the only constants are gravity and death. We follow their attempts to come to terms with family traumas and aporias of intimate relationships, to graduate and become independent in the era of economic depression. At the center of the story is Ana, whose mysterious disappearance burdens and like a black hole attracts everyone who was close to her. This unusually composed introspective novel, in which the lives of the heroes intertwine in unexpected ways, talks about memory and forgetting, the fragility of love relationships and our personal microcosm.
