Penelope Spada is a former public prosecutor, who stood out for her persistence, intelligence and courage, and then a mysterious accident dramatically ended her career. One day, a man comes to her and asks her to take over the case of his wife's murder. Đulijana Baldi did not return home one evening, and her body was found the next day on the outskirts of the city. The investigation did not yield any results, the case was archived, but the husband was charged with the suspicion that he was actually the perpetrator. Penelope, after the initial refusal, nevertheless agrees to deal with the case, at the insistence of an old friend, a journalist from the Black Chronicle who has been following the whole story from the very beginning. Thus begins an exciting investigation that winds its way through the unknown streets of Milan and that will bring to light numerous seemingly buried secrets.
