Summary
Jules Verne: The Fifteen-Year-Old Captain
The Fifteen-Year-Old Captain was written in 1878 and is a wonderful template for exciting and instructive reading about the mysterious and, at the time, still insufficiently known regions of Africa, which fascinated him and to which he dedicated most of his works. Almost imperceptibly, somewhere incidental to the main plot, this book is actually a kind of ode to the heroic explorers of the African continent, who by their renunciation, even sacrificing their lives, contributed to a better understanding of the mysterious Black Continent and the culture of the people who live there.
