Poetski migrant

Abramić Matko

Summary

Matko Abramić: Poetic Migrant

The Poetic Migrant collection tries to combine the poetic and the existential in an original way, through the vision of a poet and performer, who works as an editor and bookseller, like contemporary Pavle Ritter Vitezović, who owned a printing shop in Zagreb's Upper Town, edited books himself and then traveled around Zagreb and the surrounding area with two donkeys and sold the books he edited. On this definitely literary, but predominantly prosaic path, Abramić records poetic moments that spring from absurdity and general human insensitivity. The songs are intoned an octave higher than Abramić's previous poetry and carry the energy of an unrestrained road poet.
