Summary
Mirsad Sinanović: The Dream of Hasan Nazir
The Dream of Hasan Nazir, a novel by Mirsad Sinanović, is an honest and loyally written book about the builder of the Aladža Mosque in Foča, which, according to the generally accepted opinion, is the most beautiful mosque in the territory of the former Yugoslavia in terms of interior decoration. The honesty and devotion with which this novel was realized has several aspects. Perhaps the Bosnian language should be mentioned in the first place, but not the politically demanded one, but one's own, author's, originating from the heart and guts, in which only works of art can be written. There is no mysticism in the novel, which is often stimulated in literature in recent times. Hasan's conversations with his son Ibrahim, a martyr, which occupy a significant part of the book, are conversations between father and son, natural and noble, imbued with love and understanding and sometimes significant wisdom.
